FAQ

How long will my delivery take?

If you buy UK peptides before 4pm Mon-Fri, your order of Peptides will be sent as 1st class so should be delivered the very next working day.

Will my delivery need to be signed for?

Yes, to ensure you peptides do not end up in the wrong hands, we will ensure proof of delivery.

Where is my order dispatched from?

All our peptides are dispatched from the UK to ensure safe delivery and the highest quality.

Do my peptides need to be kept below 5 degrees during transit?

No, as long as they are kept out of direct sunlight they maintain the potency.

How should I store my Peptides?

When you buy peptides, it is important they are stored in a cool, dark place and away from direct sunlight, store them under refrigeration at 4°C or cooler. Dry peptides are stable at room temperature for months, however for long term storage (3-4 years) it is ideal to keep them at -20°C.

It is important you do not freeze, defrost and then re-freeze.

Will my Peptides already come mixed / reconstituted?

Peptides will not be delivered reconstituted. Peptides should not be purchased already mixed as they need to be refrigerated at all times.

What do i need to mix / reconstitute my peptides?

All peptides need to be reconstituted / mixed with either Bacteriostatic Water or Acetic Acid or even both.

Generally on the more complex and long chain peptides it is advisable to add a small amount of Acetic Acid (10 - 20%) first then top up to the desired level with Bacteriostatic Water.

Most simple peptides are fine to reconstitute with only Bacteriostatic Water. If you are keeping your Bacteriostatic Water in the fridge then allow to acclimatise nearer to room temperature before reconstituting with your peptide for better mixing.

These specialised waters keep the peptide from degrading, keeping the peptide fresh and bacteria free for longer periods.

What is a peptide?

A Peptide is any group of organic compounds comprising two or more amino acids which react by forming a link or peptide bond. Amino acids, the building blocks of protein, are reduced to protein fragments or peptides and communicate or interact with target molecules in your body to prompt or start an activity your body has slowed or stop performing.

In the past, the molecular size of amino acids could not easily pass through your skin rendering the product ineffective; altering the amino acid to a peptide fragment solved the issue. Specific active peptides target and regulate cell function, maximize collagen production by stimulating the growth of collagen cells resulting in the reduction of fine lines, increasing skin firmness and tone. Previously, researchers formulated skin care products to replace low levels or deficient components of the skin, now peptides can intervene during the aging process signalling the skin to repair itself.

Proteomics, the study of proteins emerged from the human genome research unlocking the encoded genetic information of amino acids and the body. The sequence of these amino acids in the protein peptide determines the shape, properties and biological role of the peptide, some examples are stimulating hormonal activity or body repair.

Peptides can be synthetically produced, derived from plant and animal sources or made by the body. Current medical data is starting to connect peptide deficiency to eczema and the red itchy skin of dermatitis. Penta-peptide is five amino acids joined by a bond, "penta" is the Greek word for five. Poly-peptide is protein or part of a protein forming a chain of amino acids joined by a peptide bond, "poly" is the Greek word for many

My Peptides look cloudy?

"Peptides can have widely varying solubility properties, depending largely on their primary sequence. While many peptides dissolve easily in bacteriostatic water (Containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) of benzyl alcohol), some, especially those containing multiple hydrophobic amino acid residues, may not readily dissolve.

As a general procedure, we recommend first attempting to reconstitute peptides in bacteriostatic water. If solubility is still a problem, addition of a small amount of dilute (approximately 10%) aqueous acetic acid (for basic peptides) or aqueous ammonia (for acidic peptides) may facilitate dissolution of the peptide"

Do you offer refunds?

Due to health & safety reasons and to ensure quality, we cannot accepts returns and therefore please ensure you order the correct peptides and do your research in advance.
