What is GHRP-6

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

Here at Research Peptides we look at the different types of peptides sold in the UK and what important information people should know when they buy UK Peptides.

Today's blog is about the Growth Hormone Peptide GHRP-6 which is among the most popular peptides people buy in the UK.

Before we start, it is important we advise all of our readers and customers, the peptides we sell at research peptides are NOT for human consumption and are sold for research purposes only.

Growth hormone peptide GHRP-6

The releasing growth hormone peptide GHRP-6 has the developmental name of SKF-110679 and is also known in the UK peptides industry as a growth hormone-releasing hexapeptide.

GHRP-6 is a synthetic met-enkephalin analogues which is includes the unnatural D-amino acids, developed for their growth hormone releasing activity making it a growth hormone secretagogues. Although they lack opioid activity they are potent stimulators of growth hormone release hence the pseudonym growth hormone peptide GHRP-6.

The growth hormone secretagogues are unique from growth hormone releasing hormone as they do not share the sequence relation and extract their function through the activation of another receptor. The growth hormone releasing receptor was initially called the growth hormone secretagogue receptor which was what customers would search for when they wanted to buy growth hormone peptides in the UK.

However, due to the further research and findings the hormone ghrelin is now understood to be the receptors natural ligand and thus been called the ghrelin receptor.

Further research has shown when the growth hormone peptide GHRP-6 was administered together the GHRP-6 caused the GH to increase. However, it is also worth mentioning if the growth hormone GHRP6 is taken after eating carbohydrates and or fats then the release of the GH is negatively impacted.

A research was carried out using the growth hormone peptide on normal mice where is showed differences in the muscle growth, metabolism and body composition.

I hope you found the information useful however please bare in mind, the above is based on information we have found and should not be taken as facts. If you have carried out your own research please share your findings so we can share with everyone.
